Research
My research interests focus on clinical and translational research directed at understanding interactions between microbes and the host immune response. My clinical research interests include Clostridium difficile infection, hepatitis C, and emerging infections in transplant recipients. I am also developing collaborative translational research projects, relevant examples include:
1) utility of noninvasive markers of disease progression and response to therapy in patients with hepatitis C and
2) examining new molecular assays for early diagnosis of invasive fungal infections in transplant recipients.
